Our Summer Summary

Saturday 27th August 2022

Whirl wind summer

Yesterday marked the last summer camp we have hosted in collaboration with local cricket clubs. This summer has been good for cricket, having great weather for the game and little intervention from the rain.

2022 allowed us to work with cricket clubs we have worked with in the past as well as with new clubs which we look to continue a relationship with, going forward into the next year.

We wanted to say a big thank you to all of those who attended the camps over this summer, we saw some great talent and hope that through attending our courses this has aided in performances at your clubs. Also, a thank you to our coaches, who provided great quality coaching over the space of these courses, bringing a technical analysis of players as well as engaging in games throughout the days with the attendees.

We would like to thank the schools which we have been a part of for this year, as we have seen some great progression in the players skills throughout the duration of our coaching in term time. Plus this year we branched out from the North East into schools in the London area, engaging with new schools and new coaches, building relationships which we look forward to extending into 2023.

Looking forward, we are currently in the process of organising more winter coaching courses, on a weekly basis to improve skills over the off-season, meaning that your skills do not degrade over the Christmas time, and you are ready for the upcoming 2023 season. Days and locations soon to be announced for the weekly indoor courses.

Upcoming for us, is a residential cricket tournament based at Barnard Castle with our U13 squad, The Northern Reivers. This is going to be our first competition as a side, after showing great collaboration as a team and good individual efforts from the squad.

Last, but not least - we have our ARCC Cricket Skills Resource Booklet on offer until the end of August with £5 off of the RRP as well as a £5 donation going towards the Ruth Strauss foundation. A charity which offers support to families facing the death of a parent, something which was setup by ex-England Captain Andrew Strauss following the tragic passing of his wife.

As we love hearing feedback from all of our players and parents, if you would like to leave a testimonial about any of our courses which have been attended. Plus we are looking into branching into more schools, so if you would like to see us in your child's school - leave the name of their school and we will try our best to engage with the school with weekly cricket sessions.

Thank you
