Winter training & Reivers 2025 intake

Have you just missed out on county age group player path way selection but aspire for more? If so we want to help you progress your cricket.
We've had lots of enquiries regarding our winter training and Reivers squad cohorts for 2025. Therefore we would like to invite you to attend an open session to progress for a place on our coaching programme. In addition we will also be offering our much sought after 1-2-1 sessions. (Which we urge you to book on our website these will be indoors )
We are looking for players from under 11's to under 18's to join our squads in preparation for the 2025 season . Commencing during September for our winter training and summer fixtures against schools,clubs and counties to add to your own club training and games.
We have a highly successful track record proven to assist players achieve their ambitions of selection for county pathways or the challenge of competing against stronger opposition in addition to club matches.
September and October getting the fundamentals right.
- [ ] Building the most powerful and efficient shot fundamentals of movement full swing making the most of your effort. This begins from a perfect and repeatable set up.
- [ ] Preparation, everything leading to the bowling action, routines, warm-ups, run ups to be prepared.
- [ ] Build in fundamentals; composure when throwing and catching. Ability to cover the ground effectively in the field.
November and December add skills to grow your own game.
- [ ] 360 batting creating intelligent players to find their own way and be competent to find all scoring opportunities around the ground
- [ ] Play to strengths, also adding strengths
- [ ] Variations as bowlers whether this is a different type of bowl or subtly change your angle. Ensure you test the batters at all times.
- [ ] Team fielding, good awareness of positioning which allows individual fielders to be more aggressive in their mindset.
January and February tactics and game plans
- [ ] Conversations with players working out their approach together based on what they are comfortable doing adding elements that they have improved on over the winter stress testing.
- [ ] Character building realistic scenarios and executing skills under pressure.
March gameplay and match scenarios
- [ ]Chasing and defending targets.
- [ ] Lots of pattern in pairs examine problem-solving abilities.
- [ ] Our best squad, establishing the most suitable roles for our squad members.
Summer matches matches matches!
- [ ] Numerous chances to transfer skills from training to playing.
- [ ] A mix of friendly, competitive and elite matches.
Sessions will take place in venues we have earmarked in several locations
