Wednesday saw the final day of our junior summer coaching camp at Benwell Hill CC. Lots of learning to place over the three days for all the boys and girls. The enthusiasm, application, attitude and dedication on display was a real pleasure for the coaches who worked with them. The “9 ball challenge” took place on Wednesday lunchtime which proved both fun and challenging. Quote of the course came when answering the question of “How do you make the ball swing?” Answer, “Has anyone got any sandpaper” Many thanks to coaches and players alike for an exciting summer camp. Today see’s the end of our Girls only camp at the High School in Newcastle. All the girls have thoroughly enjoyed their camp. We have worked on all aspects of the game. All the coaches remarked on how engaged the players are and high levels of intensity were demonstrated. We believe the future of Girls cricket at Newcastle High School is more than bright and looking forward to seeing everyone progress. Well done to all players and a big thank you to all the coaches involved.

Our first coaching camp of the summer came to a close yesterday. There were plenty of talented players in attendance. Lots of learning to place during our tactical and technical sessions in a fun environment. On the final day we celebrated by playing the hundred game which was both exciting and entertaining. Thanks to our coaches dedication to helping the next generation of cricketers. We have more camps scheduled across the summer for everyone. 🏏🏏👏👏

Good luck to the England Football team in the Euro cup final on Sunday, we will all be cheering you on. Excellent management from the whole team, professionally led by Gareth Southgate. Due to public demand, we are excited to announce our latest summer camp of 2021. Our last camp back in 2019 was oversubscribed and the feedback from both the club and players was excellent. We would therefore encourage booking as a matter of urgency, to avoid the disappointment of our reserve list. Summer Camp at Murton CC. 27th & 28th July 2021 10am til 3pm. This camp is a progressive course over both days, those attending full camp will get the most learning experience. Players will learn in small focus groups according to their abilities and experience to date.
